October 7, 2013 Planting #275

20131016-192819.jpg Post Henry Koa Fest morning tree plantings with eggs and venison burgers for breakfast. Next year remind me to take the day after HKF2 off of work. I did manage to plant 4 leftover Ohia trees in front of a cave on the hill.

Now all we have to do us keep these trees alive until the roots go deep enough to find water on their own.

I feel accomplished in knowing this forest will be well taken care of. Our efforts of the past 24 hours will last for thousands of years. This is the best case scenario for land use practices. Maui is happy!!!!
